I watched Russia take down the extreamly weak Saidiarabia with 5 - 0, how it opened up for hope by host nation fans, aswell as for everyone who hopes for great football in every group - even this one.
I witness Egypt without their Fix star Salah, take the loss against Uruguay 0- 1. Not Uruguays strongest game, but Suarez is going in his third World Cup. May it be as great one. He is such a grand Football player. Don't bite anyone, bitte. Nah, not again.
Iran snatched the three points from Marocco by one goal against none.
Then of course, 3 - 3. Derby south america delux. Ronaldo just went.
I was there to see Croatia being stabil and delivering in their first game, 2 - 0 against Nigeria, who did not really add up to the task. Luka Modric did what he should from 11 meter.
My Nordic sibling Denmark might have not play the most exciting game, but safely picked their three points in a 1 - 0 victory against a fumbeling Peru, from time to time seemingly too confused for this stage. A step up for next round, I hope. For the action.

Sunday was the big game day in Berlin, Germany. Germany against Mexico, I rounded together a colourful bunch of friends to view on a family friendly kneipe in Friedrichhain, where a small but sweet crowed gathered from both Germany ( duh) and Mexico, Switrzerland and Sweden , Chile ( we miss you in the cup) and more.
The chock in this week opening for the World Champions. Held defences. There was Mexico, however - showing no respect and charged throughout the whole game. The German wall lacked offensive power and therefore the "German Mauer" eventually fell. Mexico won 1 - 0 . They did good. Germany needs tro be WOKE from now on.
Leider, it will have to happen agains Sweden nexct Saturday. This is out group. This is our competition.
And Germany has been Mein Liebe for many World Cups now. I need you to wake up and get woke.
Maybe do not give too much trust in the tired or full players. We will see what the loss will bring.
I hope it will happen agains South Korea, though. Then Sweden takes Mexico down. You see, I want I want so much, Germany and Sweden to advance. Oh gosh.
Joined by a half - Swiss friend, we stayed put to see Brazil enter the games, with all their stars and as always favourite - status. However burdened after the debacel of falling apart in Home WC of 2014, this time that cannot , in any case be repeated now..?
